 | Happy Veterans Day Thank You & Welcome Home! |
| Like Everyone
You know as well as I do We all would like to think We could do something That could change the world Or be of some great help to someone Now there are those who truly do Most without even trying It’s just something in them To have done those things That they had to do I believe we all would like to have Been someone special In some kind of way to others But that is just not meant To be for most of us But at least there is one thing That we all have in conmon We at one time or other In our life have seen one of them Maybe had the honor Of having knowing them Maybe even called them a friend I do know this much I have been blessed To have known quite a few of them Over these years in my lifetime Some I called friend other brothers Honored me by letting into their lives

| Yes I’ll Cry
All the tears for those who can’t cry I’ll shed the blood for those who can’t bleed I’ll fight the fight for those who can’t fight for themselves I’ll stand up for those who can’t stand for themselves I’ll be that line that no one can cross I’ll go to those places no one wants to go I’ll be the heart for those who are afraid I’ll show the love where others can’t I’ll lay down my life to keep our way of life I’ll do all of this and a whole lot more For I am that solder who will fight our wars I’m that faith that most have lost For I have given my word and taken the oath I wrote that check to pay the price Of all of our freedom in this world With the blood of others and my life Till that last breath I would ever take You my country I’ll pay that price For I believe it is my God given right I’ll decide what I can do with my life To be a solder who tried to make all things right Yes I’ll Cry Those tears for all who can not cry for themselves Give that drop of blood for others to live Fight those fights they would not Stand up for the freedom of our way of life For I am that one solder who believes That is his right to do these things for others lives Just one solder of many others With the faith that we can make things right

| In Life
I have been one of those who For reasons unknown to me Having been truly blessed To have been with some really Remarkable people who have done Some truly great things For others or just something That they had the talent to do They have allowed me to be a part of As hard as it is for me to believe I seemed to have been blessed To have been given more Truly real brothers and friends Then most people could have Known in their lifetime I do have in my life At this very time Who are really true In their hearts and souls They are also real Making me One of the richest Person I have ever known In my lifetime Just because they made Me a part of their lives For that I can’t tell them Just how grateful I am Having been blessed with them As a part of my life

| Within The Darkness
I set within the darkness From our bunker With all our openings closed Off so’s not to show any kind of light From the light of a very small candle Flickering all about inside Like it was jumping from one side to the other I set trying to find the right words To tell all of you out there What and just how we feel inside That one letter we are to be carrying With us each time we go outside the wire So if there was that something to happen Those of you back in the real world Would have that something from us Telling all of you our thoughts For the very last time So here I set trying to write mine Honestly I have no idea As to what to say or write For I know just how hard all of you Would truly try to understand why Let alone what this place is really like When I’m here and still have no answers To that question what it is really like When it is something none of us Have ever seen in our lives Nor can we understand who is to die When we were setting right there by their side That very next moment their gone Laying there torn all apart
There we set hurting but nothing like them Know right at this very moment we have to Get ourselves back together to defend What is left of what we once were You know just before this place Blew us apart not only on the outside But killed us in our hearts and minds But still we have this duty to both Those still living along with those who died Trying our damnedest to get them back By whatever means that are on our side So that those lost that day Families have something to claim With their dog tags and our Country flag For we know if it were us They would be doing that same thing For those who loved us before we died So now maybe you all can see Just why I’m having such a hard time Finding those words to write Knowing that there is just no real answers As to how there is a who and why Some of us will live others they’ll die But still they tell us We all most set down and write So if you get this one of mine You now know what was on my mind

| Kid Was Going To Be
As most young kids had seen on TV How all the War Heroes Were shown to be This was what this
Kid Was Going To Be
So just as soon as he could He signed he name on the dotted line To be going off to fight Just like all his heroes did This was what this kid Thought was the way war is As it was seen on TV as a kid Till that final day he got his Very first taste of just how war is How it really felt to kill As well as seeing those he knew Getting killed around him With all the hate with rage inside of him Then comes that feeling of emptiness Of something had died inside of him Not truly knowing at that time Those feelings would never be leaving him For the rest of those years he gets to live Nothing like those seen on that TV of his Forever to have been changed From what use to be that kid But as the man he now is

 | From Vietnam Guntruck Site ::::::::::::::::::
I hope he dosen't get pissed at me for posting this but the Uglyranger is in the hospital here in Columbus, Georgia. PLEASE do not call/contact him cause he said he doesn't want to be bothered until he gets the G-2 on what's happening. Seems like he has a large growth in his stomach and the docs are working to find what it is and how to procede. I would rather fight a grizzly bear than make that feller mad.
Either he, his wife or I will pass on info as received.
I ask you all to put him on your prayer list cause he is one of the "good ones".
Larry...out I just ask you all to pray for some good news and happy outcome for a super good troop.

| Shadow Of Tears
In my heart I do believe its time that we Get to cry all those tears That we could not cry way back when We most defiantly needed them But back then there was just no time Other things had to be taken care So for all those years they just got pushed aside From that time on we had found other reasons For us not to let those tears fall from the eyes But as we all came to know over time Time gets it done no matter what we say or do It just has it way of getting those things Out of our lives that it needs to be paid So now that its soldiers have grown old Left with only memories of those yesterdays Those stories to be told of our back in the days When we were the soldiers in arms To this day we remember all of those Who never got to come back home In our memories we hold true honor For each and every one them Now we are setting off in a corner Hiding in our minds where no others can see us in Our Shadow Of Tears Those we could not cry for when we needed to most All alone in our rooms without no one else around Just us with tears flowing down our faces All those tears we wanted to let go From so long ago

| If I Had To
This one may not come out just the right way But I’ll try my best to write the words clear So that all will know what they say Bear with me as I try this now
If I Had to Take you and show you what I have done Then what I have done was not done well
If I Had To Tell you look at what I have done Then I have done it for the wrong reasons
If I Had To Make you read what I have wrote Then those words must have said it wrong
If I Had To Then whatever it is can not be for the right things Because anything that is done for the right reasons No one need say anything to the one Who has done them for all the right reasons Because what was done was not for them at all It was done for the good of us all One should never do anything To get others to look their way It should always be for the better of others In life to make things better in many ways To be bring goodness and joy Into the lives of everyone in each and every day Show caring for all in everyway To be giving love more then one could ever get In return from those whom they gave Be kinder to all others Make the time to help another How much richer they can be From giving more then was ever given Think just how much nicer life would be If we the people could just try and be A little of this in some way Maybe I’m just a dreamer A fool hearted soul For ever thinking this way But it was a heart felt thought On how we might make this World a better place some day
If I Had To
Who is to say It couldn’t be someday
